Owner and contact
MluvČesky is operated by Vikram Krishna Neeli under the developer brand LabsNeeli. Contact the address below for privacy questions or requests to access, correct or delete your data.
Account and learning data
Sign-in stores your account ID, name, email, email verification and, where provided, Google profile image. Passwords are hashed and Google tokens encrypted. We store login sessions, preferences, practice results and progress. Offline learning actions are queued on your device and sent to your account when connected. Guest progress transfers only after your confirmation. Each account has separate local learning storage; clearing site or app data removes these local copies.
Feedback
Feedback contains your message, category, account, time, app version, page and language. Older records may also contain gender or tutor-voice preferences. Only the authorized owner can view and export all feedback. Do not include passwords or sensitive information.
Recordings and AI
The microphone starts only when you choose to record. Sound-letter practice recordings remain local. For optional AI review, fresh consent permits sending your answer or recording and task through our server to Google Gemini. We do not append your name or email, but your own text or speech may contain them. Review requires internet, sign-in and configured service availability. It is not validated pronunciation grading or an official examination. Temporary device audio is used for replay/submission and removed when leaving the task. Account-isolated results may be cached for up to 10 minutes; older results are not available through this cache. Credit/request metadata, including retry identifiers and content fingerprints without the original text/audio, is retained for at most 30 days, with physical pruning on service access. Logs do not contain raw audio or full answers. The new Gemini integration is in development and remains disabled until provider, deployment and processing terms are verified. Earlier versions used Groq. The selected Google service terms and processing disclosures must match the active configuration; neither zero retention nor EU-only processing is inferred from an endpoint name.
Optional tutor memory
Tutor memory is off by default. If enabled, your account stores an optional learning goal and up to 12 tentative suggestions from Gaps reviews. They provide context for subsequent Gemini reviews, not a verified diagnosis or score. Live conversation use requires a separate default-off option. At connection start it shares a shortened goal and at most three tentative suggestions, not your full history. Editing or clearing memory ends a Live session using it at the next connection check; previously transmitted data cannot be recalled. Suggestions older than 90 days are excluded from use and physically pruned when memory changes or the account is deleted. Your goal remains until edited, cleared or the account is deleted. Settings lets you inspect, edit, disable or clear memory. Clearing memory does not erase assessment history. Memory is included in account export.
Learning activity backup
For a signed-in account, sync also backs up activity markers for words, sounds, numbers and grammar patterns, short responses, and active-time summaries. Backup requires successful sync. This does not include recordings or full conversations. Records belong only to your account, are included in export, and are removed when you delete the account.
Local notes and AI feedback
In the native app, imported conversation notes, listening completion and saved writing/speaking analyses remain on the device, separately for each account. An analysis includes the task, your text or transcript, corrections and time; audio is not kept in this history. Analyses can be deleted in Gaps and are included in local export. These records do not yet sync between devices. Deleting the account on this device also removes its local records.
Optional AI learning priorities
Local ten-word checks and mistake review work without AI. You start an AI learning review yourself, with separate consent. Choose writing, speaking and optionally imported Gemini notes. Up to 12 recent samples (task, text or transcript and feedback) are sent through our server to Google Gemini. This review sends no audio. The result stays on this device and can be deleted. It changes no scores or progress and shares the daily AI credit budget. Revoke consent in Settings.
Local AI and external Gemini
Optional local AI depends on device support and a system model download. We do not send the local conversation to our server. You choose to open external Gemini practice; the prompt is shared or copied to Google's app. Google's terms apply. We cannot see that conversation; feedback returns only when you import it manually.
In-app voice conversation
The new Live conversation feature remains disabled pending deployment, access and Google processing review. With separate consent, session audio streams through our relay to Google; the relay does not persist transient audio or live captions in its database. Your device retains a short transcript for optional feedback; delete it in Gaps. With further consent, the transcript is submitted for review and validated suggestions are saved in local Gaps, using the private AI cache described above. The server keeps scenario ID, prompt version, times, status and usage totals for up to 30 days, physically pruning on service access. These records are included in export and deleted with the account. Conversations require verified access and have time and capacity limits. Unmetered Wi-Fi is the default; you allow mobile/metered data separately for each session. Leaving the app ends microphone capture and the connection. Live captions are not validated language assessment.
Why we use data
Data supports secure sign-in, saved progress, learning preferences and handling feedback. We do not sell personal data. This edition has no ads, payments or paid AI.
Legal bases
Account, sign-in and sync processing provides the service you choose (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Optional submission of content for AI review relies on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw in Settings. Service security, abuse prevention and handling ordinary feedback serve our legitimate interest in a reliable service and user support (Article 6(1)(f)); you can object to this processing. We do not use personal data for advertising.
Progress recovery and export
After new progress syncs successfully, the server can retain up to 10 recent recovery points. Points older than 30 days cannot be listed or restored; physical removal happens at the next sync, recovery access or export, or when the account is deleted. This is not a complete device backup: local AI notes and recordings are not included. Recovery requires your confirmation and adds available progress without deleting newer work. Account-and-device export combines your server records with this device's local data; it excludes other devices' local data, authentication credentials and temporary audio. Exported files may contain personal data; store them securely.
Providers and transfers
Vercel hosts the backend and website; Neon hosts the account database. Google processes Google sign-in. The native app bundles its fonts and uses installed device voices; a voice download or a network voice may involve its provider. The web preview can load Google Fonts and Grok platform resources. Network requests share IP addresses and technical information; providers may process data outside your country.
Retention and deletion
Account, progress and feedback records are retained until account deletion or an authorized deletion request. Sessions and verification tokens expire. We no longer automatically create CSV feedback copies. Provider backups and previously exported files are not automatically erased by active database deletion; contact us regarding their handling.
Your choices
You can practise without signing in, use reference answers without AI and deny microphone access in your browser. Appearance preferences and seen-card history may remain in local device storage. Clear site data to remove them. Delete your account from the Delete account page.
Adult users
MluvČesky is intended for users aged 18 or older. We require a self-declaration before sign-in. We do not obtain a birthday from Google, and the declaration is not independently verified. Contact us if you identify a child’s data.
Changes and rights
We update this policy when processing changes. Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data and object to processing. Withdraw optional AI consent in Settings; this does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. Send requests to the contact below. You may complain to the relevant supervisory authority. Local export covers this device; use account-and-device export while signed in for the combined categories.
